Video Slideshow: TIG Repair of a Large Cast Iron Axle Housing!
Damaged, rare axle castings can be repaired. In this presentation at the 2011 Spring Midwest Willys Reunion, I shared details and comments on how to properly repair a large cast iron housing. TIG/GTAW is my welding process of choice for this critical work. With TIG, there is even an opportunity to improve the casting or housing stamina at the weld section. In this video slideshow with accompanying narrative, I discuss a gray iron casting repair.
