2011 WFTW Rubicon Soup Bowl Action!

   The Rubicon Trail has many obstacles. The more daunting sections have earned nicknames. The 'Soup Bowl' is a notable landmark, and veteran drivers know this challenge well. In these two HD videos, several Wheelers for the Wounded 4WD volunteers take on the Soup Bowl rocks. The other four-wheelers use the less abusive bypass.

     Especially clear is the kind of equipment needed to scale rock in this way. Steep angles benefit from electronically fuel injected (EFI) engines. The carbureted engines struggled with this high-altitude challenge.
