HD Video: Warn Industries' 2013 Moab Jeep Safari Media
Warn Industries' 2013 run at Moab Jeep Safari
took on two challenging trails: "Metal Masher" and "Widow Maker". These trails, captured here in full 1080P HD
video, provided a day's fun and launched an exciting week at Moab, Utah...See the action in this 25-minute
Specially equipped 4x4s won the day. Some were extreme, like
the Jeep JK Wrangler at left with a hefty diesel engine transplant and drivetrain to match! At right, John
Herrick, publisher at Crawl Magazine, wheels his "tamer" rock crawler, a
very sharp Jeep Wrangler with plenty of upgrades!
At left, the insignia of a special edition Jeep JK Wrangler is
prominent on this Rubicon Edition. Guests included Chrysler/Jeep® engineers who find outings like the Warn
Media Run helpful for pushing Jeep models to their intended limits. The Jeep JK Wrangler at right is part of
Warn's upgraded fleet of 4x4 vehicles.
The vintage Ford Bronco (left) is representative of rugged
4x4s with a loyal following. 4WD Mechanix Magazine recently expanded coverage
and added forums to include the '66-up Bronco and tough Toyota 4x4 trucks—like the one going vertical
on the rocks at the right!
The vintage Jeep J-pickup at left drew a lot of attention on the
run. A highly capable example of why Jeep has dominated the 4x4 realm for more than seven decades, the
truck scaled a variety of challenges with ease! At right, there is no substitute for brute torque and getting
traction to the ground. This highly modified Jeep JK Wrangler, with truck-class diesel power, dominated the
terrain and never faltered!
At the 'Widow Maker' rock wall, Jessi Combs drove the Warn
Jeep JK Wrangler to the lip of the steep rock. Jessi held the vehicle there and eventually allowed a
winch tug to pull the Jeep over the rim. By that time, considerable rubber had peeled off the
rear tires—one more reason to use a Warn winch in this kind of situation!
